I first broke into the professional field performing with the Peoria Symphony at the age of 19. I've performed with numerous symphonies and brass groups throughout the Midwest during the 90's until I won a position with the Midland-Odessa Symphony Orchestra in 1999 and decided to move to Texas. After a year with the Midland-Odessa Symphony, I auditioned for and won the principal trombone chair with the San Angelo Symphony. I've been the principal trombonist with the San Angelo Symphony since 2000. Occasionally traveling over to San Angelo is a fun getaway from the faster paced DFW area.

Currently I'm a freelance trombonist in the DFW area performing with local symphonies and brass ensembles throughout the area. Locally, I've performed with the Plano Symphony, Irving Symphony, Dallas Winds and Imperial Brass just to name a few. I'm also a member of the local music union (Local 72-147), the International Trombone Association (ITA) and the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA).

My musical journey has allowed me to travel all over the world, performing in numerous countries and across the United States. I've won 3 concerto competitions over the years allowing me to solo with orchestras and I've been a guest soloist for numerous bands and chamber groups. In 1998, I was one of five finalists for the Zelmer-Minnesota Orchestra International Orchestral Excerpt and Solo Competiton. In May of 2017, I performed with the Imperial Brass at the Cancer Blows concert series along with many of the top trumpet players from all across the country, including principal players from the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Metropolitan Orchestra, Dallas Symphony and much more. In 2018, I recorded with the Dallas Winds on their Asphalt Cocktail: The Music of John Mackey CD.

I perform in orchestral, chamber and jazz ensembles. Not only do I perform on tenor trombone, but bass trombone, alto trombone and euphonium as well.
